In this Walker Adventure, The Origin Of Evil*.

An American undercover agent for Interpol moonlights as a poacher policeman for an African park. During the course of his duties, he contracts Malaria and in the midst of his resultant fever he receives a letter delivered by a Zulu ghost. An archeologist friend further south is requesting his help to free his granddaughter who is being held hostage by rebels in an effort to gain the location of his dig-a place where the Devil's Crown can be found. Anyone who wears the crown will be invincible in battle. Still reeling from his illness, the agent flies to the dig, frees the girl and seeks to find the crown, but he now has a more serious problem-the two inexplicably have fallen in love. But she's only sixteen. Being a man of character, the now ex-agent reluctantly decides to give the budding romance time to cool by diverting his attention to dangerous treasure hunting in the far off Atolls-a separation designed to give the lady 5 years to insure he is what she really wants. In the end, their mutual affection has only grown over the years and their honeymoon begins a new era of hurdles to jump.
